J.S. Bach was a German composer of the Baroque period. His prelude N. 1 in C major, BWV 846 is a keyboard composition part of his first book of The Well-Tempered Clavier, a series of 48 preludes and fugues. The prelude consists of a piece without melody, but it is better to define it like a chords’ melody. On this prelude, Charles Gounod composed his famous Ave Maria.
